For an even more relaxing journey, take a ride on the Puget Sound. Seattle has a number of ferries that connect the busy metropolis to a number of islands and communities, including Bremerton, Vashon Island, and Bainbridge Island. A ferry ride provides beautiful views of the skyline, the water, wildlife (such as the occasional dolphin or otter), the Olympic Mountains to the west, and the Cascade Mountains in the east.
